In 1946 after decades of private ownership, community leaders created the Methuen Memorial Music Hall and incorporated it as a nonprofit cultural center. Since then, MMMH has brought world-class musicians to Methuen to play the Great Organ and maintain the presence of music in the region.
Today, The Methuen Memorial Music Hall is on the National List of Historic Places and is actively used for performances of many kinds. The Great Organ is the center piece of the Hall and the 15-week Summer Organ Concert series represents the flagship events of our season. An additional Fall Series began in 2022, offering a mix of classical organ music with contemporary styles and varying instruments.
We also welcome a diverse set of events throughout the year, including piano, vocal, and instrumental performances.
The Hall is available for private rentals including weddings, gatherings, conferences, concerts and other types of events.
